Coming Up!
Have An Adventure with WarmLine
The Sacramento Adventure Playground in partnership with WarmLine is open to youth with disabilities on the first Saturday of the month -- rain or shine! This is a designated time the youth and their siblings to enjoy the facility exclusively. The playground is a place where youth can use raw materials to create projects and play spaces that reflect their own ideas and vision. A parent/guardian must be present.

My Child is Turning 3 -- Now What?
We know that parents of children turning three in the next 6 months have unique questions and concerns as they "graduate"from early intervention.  During our "Transition to Preschool" workshop, parents will learn about the steps to transition, how early intervention and special education are alike (and different) and the purpose of an IEP meeting.

My Child has Behavior Problems at School!
During this workshop Emily Schuman, BCBA from Gateway Learning Group and Celina Luna from WarmLine will cover what a  Functional Behavior Assessment is; when, how and why to request one; who performs the assessment; and Behavior Intervention Plans. Participants will receive a tote bag and gas card (one per family).
For Your Information
Study Participants Sought
Researchers at the MIND Institute on the UC Davis Medical Center campus are conducting an online developmental screening study of typically developing infants from 6 through 24 months of age. We are testing two new methods of screening for Autism Spectrum Disorder in the community via a completely online system.  If you are able to collaborate with us or want to learn more about the study, please call Dr. Chandni Parikh at 916-703-0494 or email her at  [email protected].
