Dalton Welcomes Hanwha Q Cells!
Hanwha Q CELLS, a leader in the global solar industry, to invest at least $130 million in our community and hire over 500 employees. Full employment for the company will add at least $16 million to the local economy per year.
In Dalton, the April unemployment rate fell sharply and jobs continued to climb.
Dalton added 200 jobs in April, pushing its total to 67,700. That was an increase of 400 over last April. Just three metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) grew by 1,000 jobs or more in April.
The eighth annual Design, Engineering and Manufacturing Camp was held at the Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy, June 4-8, 2018. This year was the largest Camp DEM with 146 total students participating. Students from eight different school systems attended the camp. During Camp DEM, campers participated in:
