Credit Union Advocates Speak with Legislators at Capitol Hill Day
More than 300 credit union advocates from around the state spent yesterday at the State Capitol visiting w ith legislators about the harmful legislation bankers are drafting. Attendees first met at the State Historical Building for lunch and a legislative briefing before making their way to the Capitol to meet with lawmakers. Find photos from the event here.

ICUF's New 'People Helping People' Financial Coach Training Program May 7-9
In response to credit union demand for financial coaching resources, the Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF) has partnered with Adam Carroll, founder of National Financial Educators , to develop a financial coach program that will train credit union employees how to work with members to deliver needed financial coaching.

Participants in the program will receive hands on training, takeaway materials and access to an exclusive online resource to aid in ongoing financial coaching conversations at their credit union.

This program is ideal for branch managers, lenders or other credit union staff who assist members in navigating financial challenges and reaching financial goals.

The 'People Helping People' Financial Coach Program will be offered May 7-9, 2019 at ICUF's office in West Des Moines.
Cobalt Credit Union Approved for ICUL Membership
Cobalt Credit Union has been approved by the ICUL Board of Directors to become the newest credit union to join the Iowa Credit Union League.

Cobalt Credit Union currently has Iowa branches in Crawford and Pottawattamie counties. Their field of membership also includes Carroll, Harrison, Ida, Mills, Monona, Shelby and Sac counties. The credit union was founded in 1946 under the name SAC Federal Credit Union. Recognized for its community involvement, Cobalt serves more than 110,000 members and has over $1 billion in assets.

ICUL Unveils Emerging Leaders Connection Website
The Emerging Leaders Connection (ELC) program, founded in 2014, has quickly grown and has served more than 1,000 Iowa credit union leaders in their learning and development.

Last month, ICUL launched a new ELC resource website to better explain the ELC offerings and engage with the Iowa credit union ELC community. Check out the website here .
