What Can I Do to be Sure My Donations are Helping?
Goodwill was recently featured on a Wink News segment about what to donate and what not to donate to thrift stores. Equally important is when to donate.

The video is a great reminder about how non-profits can get the most from your valuable donations.
Earth Day Donation Drive is April 18 in Naples for Collier Residents
Collier County residents may participate in an Earth Day Reuse & Recycling Roundup by donating a variety of items.

The drive is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at the Towne Centre Goodwill parking lot, located at 3759 E. Tamiami Trail in Naples.

In addition to gently used items that can be resold, residents may discard (at no charge) pharmaceutical items, tires, paint, batteries, oil, propane tanks and other household hazardous waste. The Collier County Public Utilities Department is partnering with Goodwill, who will also offer free secure lock box shredding of documents.

Call (239) 252-7575 for more information.

Mission Moment: Job-Link Connects the Dots to Employment
Goodwill's 14 Job-Link Centers are staffed to help people remove barriers to finding employment.

By visiting one of our centers, an individual can:
  • take digital learning classes at their own pace
  • apply online for jobs
  • apply for state or federal benefits
  • create a resume
  • interview skills training
  • get referred to other social service agencies, and more!

Twelve of the centers are located within United Way Houses, a collaborative network of agencies who help remove language barriers, increase family strengthening and to do whatever they can to address the individual's needs.

Our mobile Job-Link is available to park in under-served areas and at collaborative events that bring service providers together to help those who need it.

Happy Thrifters Return to SWFL
The Happy Thrifters were back in Southwest Florida for the thrill of the hunt, including these "frugal friends."

Goodwill provided a snack and beverage, plus a 20 percent discount on purchases of donated goods.

After shopping our Towne Centre Goodwill location, they stashed their finds under the bus before departing with a bag of popcorn and a movie for the motorcoach ride home.
