A new
Extended Edition BASIS license
has been created combining all of the features and functions of the existing Standard and Enterprise Editions for all BASIS products - PRO/5®, Visual PRO/5®, PRO/5 Data Server®, ODBC/JDBC, and BBj®. Therefore, BASIS will be sunsetting the Standard and Enterprise Edition license types on September 30, 2018. This effectively eliminates the artificial barriers to access the most advanced, modern multi-tier features of the BASIS technology stack by making these features available to
all
applications and installations. Those with the Enterprise Edition will automatically receive the Extended Edition license upon re-registration after September 30, 2018.
For the Standard Edition community, BASIS offers a
free upgrade to the Extended Edition for all Standard Edition licenses covered by SAM (maintenance and support) on October 1, 2018!
