How to Build a Website for Small Businesses: A Five-Week Series, every Tuesday in May 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Wonder how a good website might move your business to the next level?

Whether you are at the beginning stages, not sure where to even start, or just need help attracting more of the right people to your site, this series by Tulsa Tech can help you.

There are five workshops in this series. You must register for each one individually.

Digital Privacy and Security Workshop, May 5
As part of Choose Privacy Week we will be hosting a 5-hour Privacy and Security Workshop. Join Luke Crouch from Mozilla and learn steps you can take to keep your info private and safe online. Bring your devices.

The Beginner Lecture and Lab are perfect for the everyday civilian online, while the Advanced Lecture and Lab are great for public figures, politicians, activists or concerned civilians.

Central Library will be hosting a free workshop intended to reach out to women who are interested in learning modern Web Development on June 22-23. In this workshop, we'll take you through the process of building a complete web application using Ruby on Rails.

By the end of the day, you'll have an application that connects to a database, reads and writes data, and renders HTML in a browser.

We'll meet up Friday to install all of the software you need, and then spend Saturday learning and writing code. Programmers of all skill levels are welcome.
Lecture: Cut the Cable Cord, May 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Library
Looking for cheaper alternatives to pricey cable and satellite television packages? Join us as we talk about the pros, cons and costs of streaming platforms and devices.

Attendees also will learn about streaming media offered by Tulsa City-County Library, including Freegal and Hoopla, which are free to library cardholders. You should have experience using a keyboard, mouse and the internet.
Introduction to Web Development Workshop, May 26 at Central Library
On Saturday, May 26 we will be hosting a 3-hour workshop on programming.

Join Milecia McGregor of Flipped Coding for this introductory class that covers everything from functions to Boolean logic.

We'll use HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create a simple web page and cover some of the fundamentals of computer coding.
