Online Legacies and Digital Estate Planning
Do you know how your memories spread between your computer, email and social media accounts will be handled after your death?

Join me as we look at the basics of digital estate planning during “Online Legacies and Digital Estate Planning.” Participants can choose from one of the following scheduled programs:


When we think of end of life planning, we often don't think about our online presence and digital assets. In this class attendees will learn about how to evaluate your digital assets, best practices for storing their digital information logically, and what steps one should take for end of life planning, either for themselves or a loved one.

We will also briefly look at social media accounts that have options for memorializing or deleting accounts after someone's death.
Photoshop Lab: Surrealist Photos
Want to create a surrealist masterpiece in Photoshop, but don't know how? Consider checking out Photoshop Lab - a series of classes where we create a different project using one of Adobe's powerful graphic design and photo-editing tools.

Join us Wednesday, August 29 at 1:00 p.m. as we learn some of the basics of Photoshop and make surrealist photos.
DIY: Digitization in Action
Want to learn more about our digitization equipment at Central Library? In this class we do hands-on demonstrations of our VHS converter, LP converter, cassette converter, and scanners.

Join us Wednesday, August 15 at 2:30 p.m. or Tuesday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m. in our Digital Literacy Lab and learn how you can save your family history in updated formats.
Social Media University: Pinterest, August 13
Looking for new recipes, crafting projects, or blogging inspiration? Look no further! Pinterest is the social media site for you.

Join us Monday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. as we cover the basics of Pinterest, including signing up, posting, privacy and security settings, and ways to utilize the site to its fullest. 
Mac Computers for Beginners
Want to learn how to operate a MacBook or Mac computer?

Join us Wednesday, August 22 at 1:30 p.m. to learn the basics of using a Mac computer in this hands-on class as we explore the dock, searching files, Mac-only applications and more. 
Canva 101, August 2
Want to create posters and other graphics for your business or personal projects, but don’t know where to start?

Join us as we explore Canva, a free graphic design tool. From starting designs to editing font and adding elements, we will cover all the basics.
Tech Talk: Cryptocurrency, August 3
From bitcoins to dogecoins, the world of cryptocurrency can be a little mysterious. Let us help you untangle the confusing web with a lunchtime talk on all things cryptocurrency.

Join us at noon on Friday, August 3 for Tech Talk: Cryptocurrency with Luke Crouch, a privacy engineer at Mozilla.
