Lenten Service Project | Peace Packs
Help us create supply-filled tote bags for women and mothers receiving services at Sanctuary for Families' offices. “Peace Packs” will be given to the clients served by Sanctuary for Families, all of whom are victims of domestic violence, trafficking, or other forms of gender based violence. The toiletries, socks, and underwear would lessen the financial burden of these necessities while allowing the women and children to feel cared for and supported.

On Sunday, May 5th during Coffee Hour, we will gather in Hillis Hall to pack the items into Plymouth provided totes.

Join us at Coffee Hour through Lent and write notes of encouragement that will be included in each pack. Let these amazing women know that we are praying for them.
Holy Week @ Plymouth
Words won't be nearly enough this week. Words have been failing Holy Week since the first Holy Week. Words of theological significance miss the Spirit. Words of evidence & debate miss the point. The words of poets, like gospel writers, come closest, but even they miss the wonder. Easter is not meant to be spoken, but felt - not rationalized, but experienced.

Holy Week is a four-act drama of expectation, challenge, tragedy and triumph.
April 14 | 11:00 am | Palm Sunday
We join the crowd waving our palms even though we know our hearts aren't completely true. Gather @ 10:45 am in the garden for your palms to remember the Royal Entry.
April 18 | 6:30 pm | Maundy Thursday
We watch as Jesus kneels, washes our feet & tells us to roll up our sleeves. A pot luck Agape Feast in Hillis Hall followed by Communion for adults and a Christian Seder for children.
April 19 | 7:00 pm | Good Friday
We take our place at the foot of the cross and glimpse the depth of God's crucified love.
April 21 | Easter Sunday
Like the first disciples, on Sunday we hesitatingly make our way to the tomb, hoping to hear the voice of Hope.

Missions @ Plymouth
Youth on Mission
Last weekend our Senior Youth Group had a Mission Retreat at YSOP in Manhattan. The students set up games and served dinner in a homeless shelter, served lunch in soup kitchens, stocked food pantries and assisted at a senior center. The Junior Youth Group went to Cobble Hill Health Center on Sunday afternoon to host an ice cream social for their residents and patients. We all had fun and learned a lot of what it means to share Jesus through service to others.
A Mission School of Hope Breakfast | Sunday, April 28 @ 9:45 am
Join us in the Reception Room for a celebration breakfast with Rev. Charles Sagay, Director of the Mission School of Hope in Cameroon. Hear wonderful news of the school and medical facilities program.
Disaster Relief
One important task of Plymouth’s Christian Help Committee is to minister in the area of disaster relief. Last fall, our NACCC sister church, Craig Memorial Congregational Church in Paradise, California, experienced the tragic loss of their church building in a wildfire. The fire also destroyed parishioners’ homes and local schools. Soon after the destruction of their building, Craig Memorial followed God’s call to worship and serve their community. The church currently meets weekly in a retirement community in Chico, CA, and spends much of its energy on helping rebuild the town of Paradise. The Christian Help Committee voted at their last meeting to send $5000.00 of their allocated disaster relief funding to Craig Memorial to help them continue their good work. Thank you for supporting the Christian Help Committee as they seek to lead Plymouth in serving the wider community.
