Sturgeon Bay Gains National Exposure in Documentary

In 2017, a documentary about Dr. Myrna Shure (author and child development expert) and her published curriculum, “I Can Problem Solve” and “Raising a Thinking Child” was filmed. Part of the documentary highlights the success of two Sturgeon Bay families who completed the “Raising a Thinking Child” class as well as Tenley Koehler (UW-Extension) for her class facilitation, and Ann Smejkal (Sturgeon Bay Elementary Principal) for Sunset School’s commitment to utilizing “I Can Problem Solve”, which complements the parent curriculum in the school for teaching staff so children receive the same problem solving language at home and school.
