WE LOVE OUR DONORS

One of the great joys of being a community foundation is having a large diverse "family" of funds who come together for the greater good. We are so fortunate and proud to have 58 funds that address a myriad of issues in our region, including health, at-risk youth, education, homelessness, mental health and much more.

On April 19 th we held a brunch for our fund-holders. Our goal was to say a big Thank You for their continued support and work in building a healthy community and to give fund-holders a chance to network with each other.
Welcome New Funds!

RRCF is proud to welcome three new funds and three new sets of donors to our family:

  • Bergquist Family Fund – Established to create a family legacy of giving back to the community and to meet general community needs.

  • Harry & Janet Blencoe Scholarship FundThis fund will provide scholarships specifically for students attending Renton Technical College.

  • SeaTac Senior Program Fund – This fund was established by the City of SeaTac as a result of a bequest and will benefit the city’s senior programs.

LYNN BOHART RETIRES

On April 26, dozens of community members came together to express their deep gratitude to Lynn Bohart for her 12 years of service to the Foundation.

“As the first executive director of the foundation, Lynn helped to set the course for our success,” commented Rich Wagner, RRCF Board President. “Our assets grew nearly six-fold. She initiated our CELEBRATE The Love of Community event, the League of Extraordinary Givers awards, Leadership Society and Cornerstone recognition club, among many other accomplishments. We are extremely grateful for her leadership.”

Fortunately for us, Lynn will remain in the area doing consulting and freelance writing. She can be contacted through her website: www.lildogcommunications.com .
MANY THANKS

Thank you to those of you who participated in GiveBIG! This is the first year we’ve promoted this online giving opportunity, and we’re so pleased that eight individuals stepped forward to give $1,225 to the foundation to support operations. Thank you for the belief in the power of collective philanthropy!

It's not too late to participate. Go to our website to make your donation. Choose 'Programs & Services' from the drop down list.
