INSTITUTE NEWS & EVENTS
The Institute for LGBT Studies stands in solidarity with our trans colleagues, family, friends, and community

This week, Trans Day of Resilience falls on Wednesday, November 20th and represents an opportunity for honoring trans community members we have lost, as well as celebrating those folx who continue living their truths, fighting for human rights, and challenging oppressive ideologies. We are honored to follow after our trans ancestors, especially Black trans and trans women of color sex workers, who have powerfully shaped the possibilities for LGBTQ+ communities as we know them today. We at the Institute for LGBT Studies wish to express our stance in solidarity with our trans colleagues, family, friends, and community---not just this week, not just this Wednesday, but every day. #WontBeErased
