CDL – Commercial Driver’s License Program
Marion County and the surrounding counties will benefit from a new CDL program at Marion Technical College (MTC), starting this fall. MTC’s first CDL program will begin in August and MTC is now recruiting students. .

The CDL program will be 8 weeks (320 hours), and will start at 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (Monday – Thursday). There are admission requirements such as, the individual must be over 21, be able to pass a drug screening, have their driving record reviewed for the past 10 years, and a few other items. Click here to see their program flyer.

What is important to know about this CDL training program over private schools, is this program is endorsed and supported by our local businesses and will feature a new CDL simulator that allows students to practice and test in a scenario based environment – such as road conditions of rain, snow, wind, etc. It will also allow students to have scenario of shifting and how to avoid potential accidents. We are exceptionally excited to support this program. Marion County Public Schools, MRMA and CSCLM have been working in partnership together to launch this program.

For more information on this program, go to the MTC website at MarionTC.edu for more information.
