Spokane County United Way, AmeriCorps VISTA and Excelerate Success would like to give a warm welcome to the new VISTA Summer Associates! These 14 associates will spend 10 weeks this summer working with 4 host agencies: Spokane County Library District, Spokane Public Library, West Central Community Center and The Zone Project in Northeast Spokane. There, they will lead free activities for Spokane County youth that promote literacy, recreation, STEM and nutrition.
SpokaneGivesSpokane Gives supports the community. Add your support this summer!
Spokane County United Way is proud to announce that this year's Spokane Gives has achieved the largest impact since it started in 2014. With 20,555 volunteers working 123,073 hours of reported service, the dollar impact equaled $3,038,627.37.
This year, Spokane Gives completed many successful projects, including Cleaning from the Corridor, which involved picking up trash and painting murals in Peaceful Valley. The time and effort put in by all the volunteers maintains our city and supports Spokane's organizations; it is our hope that the amazing spirit of volunteerism will inspire further acts of service throughout the year.
