Crews from our Fine Gardening Division are busy planting annuals, perennials and edibles from our wide plant assortment at our Nursery. Thank you for your patience while we catch up from the very late Spring! Mulch applications typically begin mid-June, or when the soils are warmed up sufficiently.

As we celebrate our second anniversary at this campus, we continue to build up our inventory of native and pollinator plants. We have one of the most extensive collections in the entire metro area at GrowHaus! Be sure to ask for our Native Plant list when you visit. We also work closely with the U of M on native grasses and Bee Lawns.

A Living Roof Project Comes to Life

The benefits of planting a green roof include improving storm water management, improving air quality, reducing noise pollution, adding insulation, and providing a habitat for birds and beneficial insects, among others. We started designing this green roof project last season, choosing low growing perennials and grasses suitable for for this location.

We like to think all roads lead to GrowHaus. Our guests tell us their visits are always "worth the trip." Due to the road construction in progress at the intersection of Highway 55 and Co. Road 116, there are other options for a tranquil ride:

From the Wayzata area: Consider taking 101 North; (use "Heidi's Lifestyle Gardens" as your destination when using Google Maps.) "Fletcher Lane" becomes Co. Rd. 116.
From 494: Take the Bass Lake Road exit. Head West on Bass Lake Road for about 5.5 miles to Fletcher Lane (Co.Rd. 116).
From the Maple Grove area: Take W. Fish Lake Road to County 10/Bass Lake Road (3.5 miles) to Fletcher Lane (Co.Rd. 116).
