St. Anne Myrrhbearers

The young women of our parish, ages 3 through middle school , are invited to serve as "Myrrhbearers" during the evening service on Holy Friday. They venerate the tomb during the singing of the Lamentations, sprinkling rose petals on the Tomb of Christ in the midst of the Church. Their actions recall those women who first anointed Jesus' body for burial. They also became the first witnesses of the resurrection.

Girls are asked to wear white dresses and hair bows, and white shoes, if possible. (Many of the families have been sharing their outfits from past years.)

We will have some information meetings for girls and parents, and a lesson about the meaning of the Myrrhbearers.

Please contact Mary Dale, marymmdale@gmail.com, to add your family to the email contact list.

Coffee Hour Plan for This Sunday

Our new plan for managing Coffee Hour continues this week. This is Week 2 in April, served by those whose last names begin with E-K. Plan to bring food and to share in the clean up. Thank you for your generous service!

Let us break bread together!
