Navigators Help Get People into Treatment
Three months ago, Jeremy Dawson was a guest at the Homeless Hospitality Center. Now, he has a new job and his own place in downtown New London, but he can often still be found at HHC, talking with guests and sharing his infectious sense of humor with everyone around him.

These days, however, Jeremy is there with a new role-- he serves as one of the city of New London's three recovery navigators, helping guests who are struggling with addiction to find appropriate treatment. The three navigators work through the Ledge Light Health district to combat the opioid crisis throughout the the New London area.

We could not be more proud of Jeremy-- whom you may recognize as one of the banner carriers from last month's Walk to End Homelessness. Jeremy was also featured in a recent article in the New London Day , with a profile of the work that he and the other recovery navigators are doing to help combat addiction in our community.

Congratulations Jeremy, and keep up the good work!

Make Music Day at HHC
HHC is excited to be a part of Make Music Day -- an international movement which brings free, outdoor musical celebrations to hundreds of cities worldwide!

Every year, the celebration is held on June 21, the summer solstice, in more than 800 communities around the world.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this movement, as well as the opportunity to bring free musical entertainment to our guests. Homelessness can be stressful, so we look forward to a fun day filled with music and celebration.

More information will be coming soon, but for now, be sure to save the date! Hope to see you on June 21st!
