with Youth
Saturday, April 27, 2019
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
(Pizza available at 1:00 pm)

Cathedral Church of St. Paul
138 Tremont St., Boston
All middle and high school students invited!

The afternoon begins with pizza, followed by an opportunity for young people to share with Bishop Curry and each other their dreams for the church and for the world, and to receive in person his dynamic challenge and invitation to them, and to our church.

This youth event is part of a full afternoon of events for the diocese, including a ministry fair at the Cathedral and a public rally with Bishop Curry on the Boston Common. For a full description of the Presiding Bishop's visitation, see  www.diomass.org .

Organize your car pools. Tell your neighbors. Register your group.
You won't want your kids to miss this great event.
This event will be livestreamed via a link to be posted at www.diomass.org .
WIll you cherish the wondrous works of God, and protect the beauty and integrity of all creation?
"I will, with God's help."
With confirmation services setto be held across the diocese this spring and fall, this is a good time to remember that at our diocesan convention in November 2018, we resolved to, among other things, "use the sixth question in the Baptismal Covenant [posted above], as authorized by General Convention 2015 for trial use (Resolution A016)" and "that confirmands and persons received into the church be invited to plant or donate a tree in gratitude and as a tangible response" to this baptismal promise.*

For confirmands and others wanting to take this "tangible response," one option would be to support the "Paris Grove" being established at Barbara C. Harris Camp & Conference Center. For more on how to be involved with the BCH Paris Grove initiative, contact the center's Executive Director John Koch . They could also plant trees or shrubs on the church property, or coordinate with efforts ongoing in their local community.

For other suggestions of ways to more fully live out this baptismal promise, contact the Rev. Lise Hildebrandt or Dawn Tesorero , co-conveners of the Creation Care Justice Network.

The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago.
The second best time is today.
