The Tiverton Public Library will be CLOSED on Wednesday, July 4th for INDEPENDENCE DAY. We will reopen on Thursday, July 5th at 10:00am.

Teen Summer Reading Registration
Sign up at the Information Desk, by email or over the phone!)
If you are going into Grades 6 through 12 in the fall... you're eligible to participate in Teen Summer Reading! Sign up for our program by visiting our Information Desk, calling the library at 401.625.6796, or by emailing [email protected]
Every Other Monday, Starting June 25, 2-6pm in the Teen Room
Drop into the Teen Room between 2-6pm to do a craft activity. Don't have time to stay? Take the instructions home with you and complete the activity on your own time! Earn a Summer Reading
Crafternoon
ticket for our Grand Prize Raffle either way!

Storytelling for Podcasts & YouTube Videos with Joe Theroux*
Tuesday, July 10, 6-7pm in the Community Room
Join Story Teller Joe Theroux for a workshop about developing and cultivating your storytelling voice for podcasts and YouTube videos. Joe will also be joined by one of his local musician friends who will talk about music and storytelling. Participation is limited to students entering into Grades 6 through 12. Young Adult for "Adults" Book Club
Tuesday, July 17 and August 21, 6-7:30pm in the Learning Center
Interested in a traditional book club? Want to talk about books? This is a traditional book club that meets on the second Tuesday evening of each month.
It is a book group is intended for "older" teens and adults. Copies of the book are available for check out at the library. Teens wishing to participate in this book club must be at least in high school to attend. See Rebecca with any questions.

Paint Party with Rebecca Killian of Mermaid Masterpieces*
Thursday, July 19, 4pm in the Community Room
Join Artist and Comedienne Rebecca Killian of Mermaid Masterpieces for a step-by-step group painting session. Each student will work on their own personal masterpiece as Rebecca teaches (jokes, sings, and dances). Each student will get to go home with their own completed painting. All materials are provided. Circus Dynamics Workshop*
Friday, July 27 3:30pm in the Community Room
Come join the performers of Circus Dynamics for a circus skill workshop.
They will be teaching hula-hooping, juggling, flag waving/twirling, and balancing tricks.

One-on-One Computer Skills Tutoring, Ongoing Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment

The Tiverton Public Library offers one-on-one computer skills help sessions with Technology Librarian, Sam Simas. These meetings are designed to teach you how to use computers, phones, and tablets to connect with information and library services. Topics for these sessions can cover downloading and using eBooks and audiobooks, researching with library databases, navigating social media sites, understanding internet safety and security, and using your phone, tablet, laptop, or ereader.
