Thanksgiving Baskets for EACM
This year our youth will continue the tradition of a scavenger hunt through Kroger to purchase all of the ingredients for Thanksgiving Meal baskets for Eastern Area Community Ministries to distribute in the community. We are asking for donations of Kroger gift cards to fund this mission, which provides a wholesome holiday meal to those less fortunate than ourselves.
The youth group will join youth from Anchorage Presbyterian to shop on November 17th,
so please make your donations by contacting the church office or bringing them with you to worship in the next two weeks!

Let's get together for a
Sing-Along on Monday, November 25th at 6:30pm in the Church. There are only so many hymns we can sing during worship every weekend. This will give us a chance to enjoy some of our favorites that we don't get to sing very often.
In addition to the Hymnal 1982 and Songs of Praise and Worship, we'll have a selection of several dozen pieces to choose from that aren't in either of those books. Golden oldies you might have grown up on, especially if you were once Baptist, Methodist, etc., like "Because He Lives," "How Great Thou Art," "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms," and many, many more.
We sing about an hour, longer if we like.

On Thanksgiving Day, November 28
th, at 10:00am, we will offer our gratitude to God through Holy Eucharist.

This is our 8th year participating in the Louisville Free Coat Exchange. St. Luke's parishioners have donated over a 1000 coats. We will collect new and gently used coats until Thanksgiving Day.
Please see collection boxes in the Narthex at church.
On Friday November 29th we will deliver our coats to various distribution sites in downtown Louisville. They will be given away on Black Friday from 10am until 1pm. Any leftover coats are donated to non-profits to continue the give.
We need gently used coats, hats, scarfs and gloves for all ages. Thank you, The Brotherhood of St. Andrew

As we prepare to give thanks for our many blessings, we have another opportunity to rejoice in God's abundance by providing Christmas gifts for ten children & youth who reside at Uspiritus.
The Angel Tree will be set up in the narthex (closest to Board Hall) on November 17th. Please prayerfully consider selecting one of the angels from the tree.
Please have all UNWRAPPED gifts back to the church or office by Friday,
December 6.
This is the fifth year that we have provided gifts for these special children and youth and the response of our St. Luke's family has been wonderful! Thank you for helping us to make this an ongoing tradition, and for sharing the light of Christ's love with these special children and youth!

We continue our tradition of decorating the church for Christmas with memorial poinsettias and large wreaths, as well as memorializing loved ones through contributions for special Christmas music. Special envelopes are available at both Narthexes specifying your gift for either poinsettia, wreath, or music. Please indicate if it is in MEMORY of or in THANKSGIVING of someone and list their names clearly. The deadline to receive all memorials is Sunday, December 8.
Poinsettia Memorials
- the cost for poinsettias is $8 per plant with the deadline for ordering is Sunday, December 8. Envelopes are at both narthexes.
Wreath Memorials
- We will again be hanging large wreaths inside the church on the stone walls between the windows. The cost for each wreath is $99. We hope parishioners will help subsidize this decorating effort by donating for a wreath, or part of one, in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving. The deadline for this memorial is Sunday, December 8. Envelopes are at both narthexes.
Music Memorials
- Give to our wonderful music program as God plants in your heart. You may give throughout the year to the music program, but in order to get your memorial in print, the deadline is Sunday, December 8. Envelopes are at both narthexes.
