Piper, standing, and Norah Monfort hand J.T. Reddick Principal Jim Torell a donation check for more than $200. The check came from birthday money the twins received for books.
TWINS USE BIRTHDAY TO HELP
J.T. REDDICK ELEMENTARY LIBRARY
Norah and Piper Monfort , students at J.T. Reddick Elementary , asked something special of their birthday party-goers last month. Instead of bringing presents, the twins asked their family and friends to help them donate books to their school's media center.

With the guidance and support of their mom Debby , Norah and Piper let it be known that their wish was to help the media center and provide books to readers that would far outlast toys and gifts.

During their birthday party , Norah and Piper received gifts totaling well over $200 . Since then, they have been working with Media Specialist Jasmine McMillan to order new books for the Reddick library .

Inside each new book will be a label with Norah and Piper’s names and the date of the gift, so everyone who checks out the books will know where they came from .
