Information Sessions, Campus Tours

Learn about all Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) has to offer by attending an Information Session in April. The College is offering General Information Sessions and a special session for those interested in its Cosmetology and Esthetics (Skin Care) career programs.

Honors College Information Session

Local high school seniors interested in learning more about RVCC's Honors College are invited to attend an Information Session, April 17, 6-8 p.m. The event will be held in the Atrium (lower level, College Center) at RVCC's Branchburg campus.

The evening will include information about admission to RVCC's Honors College and transfer opportunities after graduating from RVCC. Students in the top 20 percent of their high school class who possess a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, or have a cumulative SAT score of 1100 or higher, are encouraged to attend.

Career Nights

Learn about the College's programs in Engineering and Criminal Justice, as well as employment opportunities in their respective fields, at Career Nights in April. Both events will be held from 6-8 p.m. in RVCC's Conference Center.

Student & Faculty Performances, Exhibitions

RVCC's Visual and Performing Arts Department has a number of upcoming concerts and shows, including dance and musical performances and art exhibitions.

"Giving Day" Success

The RVCC Foundation held its annual "Giving Day" fundraising campaign on March 21, benefitting students and the RVCC community at large. The 24-hour effort netted $25,549, making it the most successful Giving Day in the College's history.

RVCC Student Named National Fellow

Kaeley Ipson of Branchburg, a second-year Civil Engineering major enrolled in RVCC's Honors College, has been selected as a Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact. Ipson joins 262 students from across the country for this national honor recognizing their leadership skills and investment in solving public problems.

RVCC, Emerson Sign Transfer Agreement

RVCC and Emerson College have signed a new agreement that will facilitate the transfer of RVCC graduates to the four-year College with campuses in Boston, Los Angeles and the Netherlands.

Celebrating RVCC Dancers/Choreographers

RVCC's talented dancers/choreographers were recently honored when they were chosen to perform at the American College dance conference, held March 17 at SUNY Brockport, New York. RVCC was one of only two community colleges in the region that was chosen to perform at the conference's Gala concert.

The selected piece, Leopold's Draba, was choreographed by RVCC dance major Nathan Forster and he performed it with RVCC dancer Elanna Etemad.

The conference featured over 60 pieces, and only 10 were chosen for the Gala. The judges called the piece "an investigation of dignity, safety, and belonging...with breathtaking subtlety."
PLANETARIUM
Laser Beatles, Star Shows at RVCC Planetarium

The RVCC Planetarium is presenting star shows and laser concerts in April, including a show featuring music by The Fab Four.
