Wow! What an amazing day we had last Saturday for our fourth annual Proud to be HSD Festival in downtown Hillsboro. The warm sunshine brought the crowds and our students kept them engaged and entertained as they showcased their learning, talents, and abilities. As always, the Mascot Challenge was a hit; along with many school mascots, a few guest mascots were in attendance, including Barley from the Hillsboro Hops and Blaze from the Portland Trailblazers! After fierce and hilarious competition, Barley emerged victorious and earned the coveted Mascot Challenge Trophy for the second year in a row. Congratulations to Barley  and sincerest thanks to everyone who made this day possible - from people on the planning team, to staff in our schools, to volunteers and parents, to those who attended, and, of course, to the students who were the stars of the event!
