Over the past decade askON has fielded thousands of research questions from Confederation College's local students, 8 satellite campus, and Distance Education students and faculty. askON's unique online service has provided students with immediate and high quality information by knowledgeable professionals.

 

In every library instruction session, library staff promote askON to students and faculty. Often students are eager to try it out, and are quoted saying they love having access to research help for periods that extend our library hours' own  research help.

 

Because Confederation College regional campuses are spread out in geographical span the size of France, it's especially important we provide quality research services, even if we can't be present. This is why askON is crucial to our services. In particular, one student Distance Education student had this glowing review to share:

"askON was a great experience. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel like I was there in person. I couldn't have finished my assignments without them."

In Summer 2019, askON once again saw high traffic levels. From May to August this year, askON received 1,129 questions, a small increase from the 1,124 received in Summer 2018. While the distribution of questions per month shifted slightly, traffic remains at a healthy level for the service to support.

askON visitors continued to report high levels of satisfaction this summer,  with 91% reporting good or excellent service.
