Webinars on 4/17 and 4/21 Give Context and Alternatives to Current Global Impoverishment

Please register now  for the WILPF webinars, either this Fri. or Tues., 4/21. The topic offers insight on global development partnership issues that are an important part of international, national, and local work.

The topic of the webinars, Building a Better World with Sustainable Development Goals, may be unfamiliar. Yet the two webinars on Friday, 4/17, and Tuesday, 4/21, will help answer key questions. How do we counter the increasing impoverishment -- rather than development -- for much of the world's population occurring in this pandemic time?
  • How do informed choices for sustainable community development support economic recovery, so more people can benefit and thrive?
  • How can countries track and get closer to achieving social justice and equality, within the UN framework of human rights?

SDGs webinar

Each webinar covers the same material: introducing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and explaining how these crucial UN measures are implemented by countries from the national down to the local levels. The SDGs ultimately relate to local community development -- including your local community's development! Read more about these webinars and presenter and WILPF activist, Dawn Nelson, here.

Preregistration is quick, easy, and required for these two Maestro phone call webinars:
  • Friday, April 17, at 7:15/6:15 pm CDT/4:15 pm PDT.
  • Tuesday, April 21 at 9:15 pm EDT/8:15 pm CDT/6:15 pm PDT
For those who also have computer access, the webinar presentations include computer slides, visible through use of Maestro's "Visual Interface". (Your preregistration works for either or both telephonic webinars.)
