Volunteer Ambassador Program
TOP TEN VAP TIPS

With summer in full swing it can be even harder to find time to spread the word about NeedyMeds or connect families in your community with the services we offer. With that in mind, I wanted to provide you with simple ways to continue your volunteer efforts when you're pressed for time:
  1. Shouting it Out! - Put a NeedyMeds link, logo or blurb on your Facebook/Twitter account, be sure to " Like" us and add a link to NeedyMeds as part of your email signature!
  2. Delivering the Elevator Speech - Remember this one liner to make explaining what NeedyMeds is all about easy:
NeedyMeds is a national nonprofit offering healthcare expense solutions for those in need.
  3. Networking - Keep your VAP business cards on hand wherever you go. You never know who you'll meet!
  4. Distributing - Keep a few drug discount cards on hand as well. You'll never know who you can help! Let Carla know if you need more drug discount (or business) cards mailed to you.
  5. Going to Appointments - If you get a chance, be sure to mention NeedyMeds or leave behind some of our educational materials on your next doctors office visit.
  6. Offering Feedback - Share your NeedyMeds experience - and encourage others to do the same - on the GreatNonProfits website.
  7. Dropping off Materials - Even if you can't attend, see if you can drop off NeedyMeds packets at fairs or events and inquire whether you can do the same at your local library or community center.
  8. Recruiting - Know anyone interested in coming on board as a Volunteer Ambassador? Send them my way!
  9. Forwarding the Newsletter - Did you know that at the bottom of each monthly Patient Assistance Newsletter there is a "forward" hyperlink? If you think a friend or family member would be interested in staying up to date with healthcare topics go ahead and forward them a newsletter.
  10. Doing some shopping? - If so, consider making your purchases through Amazon Smile. Amazon Smile will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organization of your choice - such as NeedyMeds!
We do hope you find some of these tips helpful. Please know how much your efforts are appreciated.

Wishing you a healthy summer,
