It's the end of the year! Well, not really, but it is the end of what the church typically refers to as it's "Program Year" which runs from Welcome Back Sunday through the Day of Pentecost.
As parishioners look forward to summer vacations, kids go on summer break, and, in Spokane at least, folks head out to the lake, the church slows down a bit too, at least in terms of the amount of programming that is offered on a weekly basis.
The good news is that this slow down allows the staff and lay leadership to evaluate what has been done, and be inspired for what is to be done in the coming year (if not years).
This summer also marks for us a time of transition as we will (hopefully) be welcoming a new Dean, and looking forward to the next program year under their guidance and leadership.
But, just because we're slowing down doesn't mean there's nothing to do!
