Historic Designation Mediation In Progress

The Ward 5 office has engaged the   Mediation Center  to work with us on a"conflict assessment." The conflict assessment will be conducted under the leadership of Executive Director Aimee Gourlay. This assessment, given our time restriction, will allow the Mediation Center to listen, understand perspectives and help us determine if there is a"zone of potential agreement"worth pursuing.

The Mediation Center would like us to emphasize, the point of the conflict assessment is not  to determine if there is a"right" or"wrong," but rather to determine if there is space for a potential agreement. One important element of Ms. Gourlay's work plan will be to interview stakeholders, either in person or on the phone.  If interviews are completed in a timely fashion, Ms. Gourlay could provide Ward 5 with initial findings by the end of the week.
City Council- June 5th
