School Board Welcomes New Chief of School Police
The School Board voted unanimously last week to approve  Frank J. Kitzerow  as the District's 
Chief of School Police and Security . The approval came after a nationwide search was conducted for the new position. 

"I can't think of a more important job in this day and age," Kitzerow said of his new position. "The magnitude of the job is not lost on me for a moment."

Kitzerow, who has served most recently as the Town of Jupiter's Chief of Police, brings more than 30 years of  law enforcement experience to the newly created position. He is set to begin on July 2. Watch the video...

School's out for the summer, but students are still hungry, and the School District's School Food Service Department is offering free meals for all children in Palm Beach County.

Schools will be serving free, nutritionally-balanced breakfasts and lunches to children through the age of 18 at school locations across the county.

Plus, in order to keep bellies full and learning continuing through the summer, several Palm Beach County Library locations will be serving free lunches and snacks daily as well. Learn more...




Research has shown that summer learning helps students succeed academically. By continuing to read, learn and have experiences outside of the classroom, such as visiting science centers, museums and exploring the outdoors, students will reduce summer learning loss and be better prepared when they return to school in the fall.
