Rare earth magnets are positioned in the tools with the lower fixed and the upper rotatable. When the upper magnet is rotated, "switched", it creates the magnetic field which holds until safely switched off. Phil Is Getting His Props!

Congratulations to Phil Blindenhofer, former owner of Bossler & Sweezey, our March Branch Survey drawing winner of an auto darkening helmet. Phil loves visiting our Airweld Patchogue branch because he always gets his props. “Being in the propeller repair and manufacturing business means that when we need supplies, we need them now! John McNulty tossed his first job, literally! From the age of 16 he made pizza until he panned that business and went on to working in restaurants and bar tending. At 28, while working at Home Depot, he met Airweld Director of Purchasing Mike Scalzo who suggested he try the compressed gas and welding supply business. John made the change and 19 years later, this Airweld veteran is Director of E-Commerce and District Manager for Long Island. John love's the way Airweld staffers are treated like family and the challenge of working with people of diverse backgrounds. This devoted father of three daughters enjoys supporting their athletics and "occasionally" may be found on a golf course, "relaxing!"

Most kids play with toys but Curt Umlauft played with molecules! When he started in this industry as a pumper 35 years ago, he says mixing gases made him feel like a chemist. He was literally "driven" into the business as he carpooled with a friend who introduced him to the industry. Curt joined the Airweld team in 2004, working in the Farmingdale store, doing whatever the job required. "When I joined the Airweld team I was a "man for all seasons," Curt laughed. "Versatility is very important and I really enjoy the teamwork and support in this company," he added. This devoted dad enjoys his family time and occasionally a little fishing.
