Andi Sullivan began playing at LMVSC, U8 through U15, where she established a love for soccer and thrived during her developmental years.  Andi was selected to numerous US Women's National Training Camps and was heavily recruited for college.  Andi was a stellar student-athlete and selected Stanford University to continue playing soccer, while obtaining a college degree.  As a senior captain at Stanford University (24-1-0), Andi ended her collegiate career scoring the 1st goal in a 3 - 2 win over UCLA and crowned National Champions and winner of the 2017 Women's College Cup.  During her senior campaign, Andi was selected as the PAC-12 Midfielder of the Year, 2017 Honda  Sport  Award and MAC Hermann Trophy, given to the top college female soccer player in the country.  Andi is a finalist for 2018 Honda Cup (Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year), which will be announced in June 2018.  Just as impressive, Andi received a "call up" from the US Women's National Team and will be a part of the 26 member squad in the January Training Camp taking place in Carson, CA.

LMVSC | HAWK'S REUNION

On January 1, 2018, the Club welcomed back the LMVSC Hawks ('95) during an Alumni match, to honor one of the Hawk's sibling that tragically lost her life in June 2017.    During this reunion, 17 of the Hawks returned to play together for the 1st time in years.  Due to freezing temperatures, LMVSC secured indoor space at the Dulles Sportsplex to ensure all players could participate in a safe environment.  We were thrilled to have the Hawks return to action, including Junior Torres (Borussia Dortmund), Christian Rodriguez (Tulsa Roughnecks FC) and a number of Div I collegiate players.  All players participated in a series of games throughout the day.  Following the matches, the Hawks stayed to share their insight and wisdom with our current players.   Please feel free to view the attached interviews with  Junior Flores Sandor Bustamante  and  Julian Cummings , sharing memories as former LMVSC players, by clicking on the names above.

Below are a few videos from the Hawk's, as they spoke to current LMVSC players.  Junior Flores and Sandor Bustamante share experiences of playing abroad, including a typical day, training, time management and the overall drive.  Baris Safoglu shares a message on life skills he learns through the game.

LMVSC | CO ACHING EDUCATION
In an effort to provide the best practices and ongoing professional training for our coaching staff, LMVSC will host another coaching education clinic in early February.  We are excited to have Brian Wiese, the Head Coach for Georgetown University Men's Soccer.  Coach Wiese became the Men's Head Coach in 2006 and has led the Hoyas to 6 NCAA Tournament appearances in the last 7 years.  During his tenure, Coach Wiese has coached 17 players who have signed professional contracts, as well as numerous players being selected for Conference, Regional and National Awards.  As a coach, Coach Wiese has also garnered many awards, including National Coach of the Year in 2015.

We are honored to have Coach Wiese work with our coaches, sharing his principles, training exercises and overall insight in today's college game.
