Local Business and Downtown Vibrancy Meeting with City Council
Tuesday, April 9, 7pm, City Offices
Dear downtown patrons, property and business owners, residents and other stakeholders - in the next two weeks, Mayor Burks and Councilmember Candell will hold two additional meetings to discuss the City Council’s strategic objective #4 which is to develop a strategy to expand City support of local businesses and commerce and to increase the vibrancy of downtown Lafayette. The first meeting on April 9 will focus on the priorities of property and business owners (you may have already received the e-notification.) At the second meeting, on April 15, we will invite comments from all downtown stakeholders. Both meetings will begin at 7 PM at the City offices, 3675 Mt. Diablo Blvd.

Mobility Matters: Volunteer Driver Training Class

Are you interested in giving a Senior Citizen or Veteran a ride to his or her medical appointment or grocery shopping? Can you spare a few hours every other week? You will be able to make your own schedule. If so, this volunteer opportunity is perfect for you! Our volunteers give rides to individuals who cannot use other forms of transportation due to mobility issues. Mobility Matters is a nonprofit organization based in Contra Costa County.
