Praise God for an incredible Capital Campaign this fall! The generosity and sacrificial giving in our community are amazing. I’m humbled to participate alongside each of you to expand God’s territory in north Austin for future generations, and to provide much needed facilities for our students today. The need for an excellent academic and Christ-centered school option in our area is important today, and it will become increasingly unique and important over the next 20+ years to serve the millions of people moving into this area. Hill Country Christian School partners with parents to raise future leaders through academic excellence, discipleship and biblical worldview training. This facility is the first step toward expanding our ministry in preparation to serve the growth in our area.

So, where are we with the Capital Campaign?
As of 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 10/24/18, our campaign had yielded a total of $4.2M in pledges toward the MAC, our new Multipurpose Athletic Center, as well as an additional $160,000 in designated funds for the 2018-2019 Annual Fund.

Where does the Capital Campaign go from here?
As of noon on Friday, 10/26/18, we had received additional pledges in excess of $100,000, bringing the total slightly above $4.3M. We continue to be in contact with potential donors and expect to receive new pledges in the coming days and weeks. We continue diligently pursuing our goal of $5M, and we need the participation of every Hill Country Christian School family to reach this goal. In parallel, the board has embraced a more aggressive tack toward the divesting of our property, in expectation to receive offers with a 60-day closing. We’ve already seen interest from multiple groups.

School leadership believes it is God’s will to build the MAC. Hill Country Bible Church leadership believes it’s God’s will to build the MAC. Nationwide statistics for independent schools indicate that upper schools are growing. Growth in overall enrollment at Hill Country Christian School requires additional facilities sorely lacking in our current Upper School. This building will happen, perhaps beginning as soon as January 2019. When it does, I’m confident it will serve as a catalyst for future on-site expansion for academics and fine arts.

If you’ve already offered your best gift, thank you! Trust in the Lord to bring this project to fruition. We’ve raised $4.5M for the MAC and Annual Fund. Wow. Praise God!

If you have not participated, please consider sharing sacrificially in this blessing. The Lord is moving in our community…. Join us!

We’re almost there!

Blessings,
Jeff Marx
