Anna Edlund named Teacher of the Year
 
   
The District 112 Foundation named Bluff Creek  Elementary teacher, Anna Edlund, Teacher of the Year at its Excellence in Education banquet last weekend. The other four finalists included: Dave Carlson, Chanhassen High School; Janet Holler, Chanhassen Elementary; Becky Janes, Victoria Elementary; and Mary Schoen, Jonathan Elementary. Read more HERE.  
Chaska High School to host 5th annual
Twin Cities Teen Lit Con event May 12 
Come celebrate teen literature, promote reading and writing, and create a community of readers by connecting teens and authors. The event is free and will be held Saturday, May 13, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Chaska High School. Learn more HERE.   

Chaska student is State Speech Champion 
Josiah Chock ('19) took top honors at the recent State Speech Tournament in Apple Valley. He earned first place and the title of State Champion in Storytelling. He's the fourth State Speech Champion in Hawks history!

Chanhassen DECA team earns first-time 1st place trophy
Matt Hove ('18), Grace Miller ('18), and Jake Maus ('18) earned the 1st place trophy in the Creative Marketing event at last weekend's national competition in Atlanta. Chanhassen High School's team of 21 competed against more than 170 students from around the globe.  
District to host Native American traditional pow wow May 19 & 20 
Come celebrate Native American culture at the 1st Annual Chaske Wacipi Pow Wow Traditional Wacipi. The event will be held at the Chaska Middle School West Soccer Stadium, May 19 & 20. Learn more HERE.
