The PTC still has a number of Committees that need chairs or co-chairs.  We are making changes to  make it easier on parents to lend a hand.  Please - click on the link below and see how you can help.

Clothing Sale Committee Openings
"The Cossitt Clothing Sale Committee was my favorite volunteer experience at Cossitt because of the terrific people, the sale's exponential impact on Cossitt and the community at large, and being able to shop the pre pre-sale was a great bonus too."

We are looking for a few more parents to join the fun and hard-working Clothing Sale Committee, responsible for Cossitt's biggest fundraiser!

Set-Up Chairs (2 openings)
Strong and self-directed co-chairs work with a team of volunteers to set up racks before the sale, then break down and store racks after the sale; moderate lifting involved 

Publicity Chair (1 opening)
Creative and enthusiastic 4-person team works together to recruit shoppers i n surrounding communities via print (signs and flyers) and social media

Volunteer Coordinator Chair (1 position) 
Works with co-coordinator to greet, direct, and supervise volunteers on the day of the sale

PTC Assistant Treasurer Needed
The PTC Executive Board is still searching for an Assistant Treasurer for 2018-19 school year.
If you are interested, please contact David Grayson at [email protected].   It's a great way to play a meaningful role in shaping your student's Cossitt experience.
Order School Supplies for 2018-19
Time to order your student's school supply kit for the next school year.  It's optional to order, but it can help  save time and money when back-to-school shopping. Parents that purchase school supply packs save up to 40% compared to the same supplies from a national retailer.  The o rder deadline is June 15.

*Reminder - When ordering, please order your student's grade level for next year.

Social Fundraisers 2018-19
Callin g al l Cossitt families -- Social fundraiser hosts for the 2018-19 school year wanted!!!   Social fundraisers are great adult and kid events and parties planned by groups of Cossitt parents . The fundraisers provide opport unities to meet new people and have fun in smaller settings. All are welcome to sign up!  Events can take place at the start of the sch ool year, 2018 and run through mid-Spring, 2019.

Most important -- ALL proceeds from the social fundraisers go straight to the Cossitt PTC to support it's work on behalf of our students.  

**NEW** 2018-19** -- The sign up for  ALL PARTIES will be online and open to all Cossitt families at the same time.  (There will not be an event at Harry's as in years past).  The sign up will take place at the start of the school year.

Cossitt Spirit Wear Shop - Now Open
Place your end of year Spirit Wear Orders!  Online orders can be placed until May 18th. Orders will be delivered to your child's classroom. Don't forget to order a car magnet,  which are on sale for $2.50, to show your Cossitt spirit around town!  
Ella's Race For A Cure
1 in 26 Americans will develop epilepsy in their lifetime.  Approximately 50,000 people die each year from epilepsy related causes.

Join Cossitt student Ella, in Ella's Race for a Cure 5K Fun Run, 1 Mile Walk & Kids Dash on Sunday, June 3, 2018 9:00am at Bemis Woods South.  For more information and to register, click on the link below.
Yearbook Orders Due May 13
Capture the 2017-18 School Year at Cossitt.   
Orders due by May 13.   Yearbooks are $13 each and will be distributed to students during the last week of school. All yearbook orders and payments are done online (see link below). You will receive an email confirmation upon placing an order.   If you are not able or prefer not to order a yearbook online (via personal PayPal or credit card), please contact  Jen Barnicle,   [email protected]  

Please note: To order a yearbook for more than one student, follow these instructions...
1. Click on the link below, then click "Add to Cart"
2. Key in recipient last name (select your child from the drop-down list)
3. Include your email
4. To add a yearbook for another child, click "Continue Shopping" at top 
5. Repeat the process for each additional child
6. Click Checkout

PTC Fun Fact!
In honor of teacher appreciation week, we are happy to report that for the 2017-2018 school year, the Cossitt PTC was able to budget $8000 for teacher curricular requests, $6500 for LRC support, $2250 for classroom supplies, and various other amounts for additional curricular support.  Thank you to all who supported the PTC to make this possible.
PIMA Nothing Bundt Cake Fundraiser
Looking for something sweet to wrap up your month of May?  Go to Nothing Bundt Cake, May 21-27 to pick up or order any of their delicious cakes.  30% of sales will go to the District 102's Parent Instrumental Music Association (PIMA) to assist the Band and Orchestra programs.

Nothing Bundt Cake will accept future orders too!  Get something sweet and easy for Memorial Day, graduation parties, birthday parties, Fourth of July, you name it!
