Sharing Our Strength and Then Some!

This has been one of our busiest weeks in memory.

We began the week on Monday morning, with our annual All-School Service Learning event at the NH Food Bank. We went over in groups of three which included students from ALL three of our program levels - grades K-6 - and worked together to pack up 29 full cases which contain a total of 6264 services of nutritious Mac & Cheese!

It seems fair to say, the kids rocked it! The children were orderly and efficient and got the job done. They proved that they are skilled in such hands-on projects. We are so proud of the work they accomplished by working so well together. Photos from the morning appear below. A HUGE shout out to the folks at the NH Food Bank who hosted us, and make it possible for our students do this meaningful work each year.

The week also included a trip to the Seacoast Science Center by our entire Lower Elementary Program, rehearsals for our upcoming - and first ever - MFCS Talent Show which is next Friday, May 18th; prep for the upcoming Upper Elementary Dance on May 25th; and final preparation for tonight's Game Night which begins at 5:30pm.

Talk about sharing is caring...this has been a week of incredible kindness. The children and our wonderful families have embraced Teacher Appreciation Week and showered our staff with lovely and thoughtful cards and treats all week long.
Sending out a special thanks to the Week's organizers - Alicia, Jen H, Lisa Z & James M. - and to everyone who contributed!

On Wednesday, the incredibly talented, creative and generous Hospitality Committee, led by Hind Bashier - with support from Insitar, Molly, Julia, and Lamis - catered a beautiful luncheon for the MFCS staff. We felt truly spoiled by all that was shared. It was just extraordinary!

To all of you we say thank you, thank you, thank you for your support and expressions of appreciation shared this week.

Upper Elementary Spring Dance
Friday, May 25th, 6-8pm

The Student Dance Committee comprised of our 6th Year Students and led by Ms. Colleen, has been hard at work planning the Upper Elementary Spring Dance.  The students have selected "Venice Beach" as the theme this time around. It should be a great end to the year event for our Upper Elementary Students.
