Wilson Jazz Band Takes Home A Gold:
Congratulations to the Wilson Jazz Band for earning a gold medal at the state competition, the MAJE (Massachusetts Association for Jazz Educators') Central District Junior Festival. Also Jacob Reinach, Jacob Simon, and Sage Nguyen received a citation for Outstanding Musicianship!

Career Day Monday, June 18

We REALLY need you! We will hold Career Day for 7th & 8th grade students on Monday, June 18 from 8:00 am-10:30 am. We are looking for presenters who are interested in sharing their trade with middle school students for 45 minute sessions. If interested, please email  [email protected] . We are hoping to get 25-30 presenters. 5th Annual STRIVERS Mother’s Day 5k:

A Discussion for Middle Schoolers & their Parents

Special Olympics Fundraiser:
We are selling tumbler cups filled with icy lemonade for $5.00 during lunch all throughout the month of May to benefit the Natick Special Olympics. Please help support our Wilson athletes! 
Math Placement Meeting:
Math placement information night will be held for 6th and 7th grade parents on May 30, 2018, 6:00 - 7:00 pm in the KMS auditorium.
Laps After Lunch:
Laps after Lunch has begun ! Students are thrilled to be able to get outside for much needed fresh air and exercise however we cannot guarantee laps on a daily basis as we are still in need of volunteers. Please consider volunteering on a weekly, every other week, or on call basis. Shifts are 10:55 - 11:45 or 11:45-12:35. Please contact Jeanne Holihan at  [email protected] . Thank you.

Registration for Natick Summer Academics is filling up quickly! This program runs at Natick High School from 8:00 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. for the following weeks throughout the summer.

A Parent Network Navigating Special Education

Metrowest Symphony Orchestra:
The Natick Schools has an emerging partnership with the MetroWest Symphony Orchestra that emerged from our arts audit last year.  
This partnership, in its infancy, currently allows secondary Natick students to participate in their ensembles and appoints mentor professional musicians to the participating students. We continue to explore additional partnerships for younger students.

Summer Volunteer Opportunity For Rising 9th Graders:
The Natick Integrated Summer Program is looking for rising 9th graders who would be interested in volunteering this summer during their summer program. The ASAP and Early Risers programs offer safe, enriching before and after school programs at all five NPS elementary schools and after school programs at Kennedy and Wilson middle schools.
Enrollment takes place on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't wait!

Natick SEPAC: Get Involved by becoming a
2018-2019 School Liaisons!
If your child has a 504 or IEP
please consider volunteering for Natick SEPAC .  
No experience necessary!!  You don't need to know all the answers, just be willing to ask questions.  Natick SEPAC volunteers work together to help answer questions and a majority of communication is done via email or phone. Time commitment can be as much or as little as you can provide.  We welcome and encourage having more than one representative at each school.    As a SEPAC School Liaison you will:
·         Act as liaison between his/her school and SEPAC
·         Connect with school’s PTO and share SEPAC info
·         Build awareness at his/her school of SEPAC and SEPAC events
·         Attend SEPAC meetings and provide status updates and feedback to SEPAC Board
 
The   Natick Special Education Parent Advisory Council  (SEPAC) is an all-volunteer organization of parents and caregivers of children receiving support services in the Natick public schools and private school settings. We are dedicated in building a network for families whose children are receiving support services through an IEP/504 as well as for families considering requesting an IEP/504 evaluation.   SEPAC provides a parents perspective of information, support and recommendations. If interested or for more information,  please reach out by May 11  to  [email protected]  or visit our website at:   http://www.sepacnatick.org/connect-with-us

The inclusion t-shirt is the creation of four Wilson sixth-graders: Adam Navisky, Sam Hess, Keller Berry, and Dan Brazier! With Ms. Graf’s guidance, they have developed the slogan “the key to kindness is inclusion.” One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Natick Special Olympics, a community-building event dedicated to the acceptance of all athletes, regardless of ability.

The Wilson Middle School Yearbook is currently on sale for $28, until January 15 and then it will be selling for $33.  There will be 625 printed. We urge you to buy one as soon as possible.

Reminders:
Please send in a dismissal note with your child if he/she needs to leave school early. This allows us to have your child ready for you and avoids us disrupting class to call him/her down to the office.

Please remind your child to stop in the office to get a tardy pass if he/she arrives to school from 7:50 am or later.

Late Buses:
Bus #23 arrives at approximately 3:10 PM. Bus #15 arrives at
3:20 pm and the last bus Bus #13 arrives at approximately 3:30 pm.
5th & 6th grade students are supervised in a classroom while we wait for the bus and 7th & 8th graders are supervised in the lobby.

Please click below for the late bus runs and stops. Buses begin to arrive to Wilson at 3:00 pm with some of them arriving as late as 3:30 pm.
