Writers' League Offices Closed
The WLT offices will be closed due to post-conference fatigue syndrome from July 2-6, 2018. We will reopen on Monday, July 9, at 10:00 am, fully recovered. Happy 4th of July, everyone!
(If you attended the 2018 A&E Conference, you'll be hearing from us next week with a follow-up survey. Until then, we hope you had a great weekend and are enjoying some vacation time of your own this week.)

Jump Start Your Novel

If you have an idea for a novel floating around in your head, but you don't know where to start, this class is for you. The instructor will show how to develop your concept, flesh out your characters, and establish your setting. From plotting an outline to polishing an opening page, the class will cover everything a writer needs to kick-start a manuscript with compelling tension and a vivid, distinct voice. This class will also cover tips and tricks for crafting a compelling opening chapter, including common pitfalls to avoid.
Registration closes Wednesday, July 18, at 5 p.m. CST. Everyone who registers will have access to the class recording until July 26.

Open Office Hours: July 12
Our next Open Office Hours will be on Thursday, July 12. The deadline to sign up is Monday, July 9, at noon. Due to our office closure, you may not receive confirmation of your appointment until Tuesday, July 10. Writers' League members can meet one-on-one with a WLT staffer (in person or call in). This member benefit is available to all members regardless of their city of residence. Current members only.
