The Delone Catholic HS Student Newspaper "Delonews" is available by clicking here. Delonews covers events and student activities throughout the year. It is an activity for our students as well as a semester-long journalism class. Check out articles on all the latest happenings at Delone Catholic from the perspective of our students and a n archived article from when DCHS Hall of Honor Inductee Jean (Sneeringer) Steinhour wrote for the newspaper in the late 1940s.

A two-session English SAT Prep course will be offered  July 2 & 3  from  12:30-2:30 p.m. at Delone Catholic HS. T he fee is $65, which includes the book. There are free, online resources available to students to help them to prepare for the SAT and ACT. College Board has partnered with Khan Academy to provide preparation videos, instruction, problems and sample tests for the SAT. To access these materials, visit  www.khanacademy.org.  In addition, the free OpenEd Smart Library provides resources for preparing for the ACT. To access these materials, visit www.opened.com.

A reminder that all underclassmen Works of Mercy hours must be completed by  May 25, 2018  (our last day of school). The signed forms need to be turned in to Delone Catholic by  June 9, 2018 . After  June 9, any hours completed during the 2017-18 school year will not be accepted for credit, per the policy on p. 14 of the student handbook.  If you are in need of Works of Mercy opportunities, please check the Spiritual Life webpage. There you can also use your student ID number to look up your current totals. Freshmen need a cumulative total of 20 hours, sophomores need a cumulative total of 40, and juniors need a cumulative total of 60 before  May 25 . Thank you for your attention to this important aspect of our mission to be "Doers of the Word."

One pillar of the SportsLeader program is a weekly virtue that we incorporate into our athletic practices and throughout our school community. Every week, we will share them here to encourage the students to take the virtue into their homes as well!

This week our virtue theme is AWARENESS - The strength to perceive and notice the circumstances that surround you.  Being AWARE is necessary for success in life! We need to be AWARE on this team, of what we are doing, what are teammates are doing and what our coaches want us to be doing.

Join us for the annual DCHS Alumni Field Hockey game! This year we are excited to be donating all proceeds to to help support our current Squirettes. This program gave us all the opportunity to form lasting friendships and make great memories in high school, we are honored to be giving back. 

Game starts at 1 p.m. Registration, t-shirt pick up and warm-up starts at 12 p.m. Registration form should be returned by May 23 to facilitate t-shirt orders, but registrations will be accepted after that date. 

Game admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. 5 years and under are free. 

We are asking that every participant bring a baked good, single-serve snacks, or bottled/canned drinks to be sold at the concession stand.

We are looking forward to welcoming Jacksonville Jaguars Offensive Line Coach Pat Flaherty '74 and his team of coaches back for this hands-on skills clinic for boys entering grades 7-12. The Delone Catholic Cross Country team is hosting its 1st Annual Delone Dash 5k or 3k Trail Run on Sat., June 30 at Codorus State Memorial Park. The cost to register is $25 prior to June 15 and $30 after June 15.  Registration will take place from 8 to 9:45 a.m. and the race will begin at 10 a.m.

All high school youth are invited to attend the next St. Joseph Church Ablaze Youth Group meeting on  June 10, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Codorus State Park. The group will meet at the parking lot just before the band shell.  We will be taking a hike and having a picnic in the park!
