IMPORTANT REMINDER!
Evaluations Are Critical In Today's Climate

Currently, our team is seeing a huge decrease with the number of families requesting an evaluation for their young children. Families seem nervous about doing in-person evaluations, but they are actually being done via telehealth, which is a wonderful way to still get a solid evaluation. Many families have also avoided their well visits with their pediatricians, but it is still a critical time to bring them in if you’re concerned.

Child Find is part of Colorado's system for identifying children suspected of having a delay in development. If a young child is not meeting typical developmental milestones or someone is concerned about the child’s growth or learning, Child Find teams will evaluate how the child plays, learns, speaks, behaves and moves. The purpose of the evaluation is to determine if there is a significant delay or if there is a need for early intervention or special education services. Evaluations conducted by Child Find teams are at no cost to parents.

FALL AND WINTER SOCIAL SKILLS GROUPS NOW FORMING!

We are thrilled to be resuming our Social Skills Groups and invite you to visit the link below for more updates.

Our Social Skills Groups are a fun way to learn about social dynamics using instruction, team activities, group discussion, games, role-play, and other fun activities. Currently, we have groups available in Castle Rock, Lone Tree and Parker for children ages 3-15, as we are now working to offer TEEN GROUPS.

All groups are run by a School Psychologist or Special Educator with a Master's Degree and 10 or more years of experience. We also use evidence-based practices and curriculums to ensure your child receives the greatest benefit.

Welcome Our New Team Member!

We are pleased to announce we've added a new member to our team.

Arlet Harlo is joining us as an Early Intervention Social Emotional Therapist. She is fluent in both Spanish and English and has a younger brother who is deaf so, at a very young age, she was encouraged by her family to learn sign language as well. She is a Certified Lactation Consultant, a Registered Psychotherapist and is currently working towards her Clinical License in Social Work. During her experience in early intervention, she has successfully improved the lives of many families through strength-based coaching, child development education and facilitation of parenting educational and support groups.

In her spare time, Arlet loves to exercise both her mind and body. She enjoys reading books about metaphysics and personal development and loves to do yoga and spin classes regularly!
