Arteriovenous Fistula Maturation in Prevalent Hemodialysis Patients in the United States: A National Study
Arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) are the preferred form of hemodialysis vascular access, but maturation failures occur frequently, often resulting in prolonged catheter use. Arbor Research investigators, in partnership with colleagues at the University of Michigan, recently characterized variation in AVF maturation rates, as well as determinants of AVF maturation, among hemodialysis patients in the United States.
