December HMIS Updates
December 11th
We Can Help When Funding Changes!
Please contact the Data Center when funding ends or begins - we want to support your data as it changes! HMIS projects must be closed when funding ends and opened when funding begins.

Email us at hmis@ncceh.org for assistance.
When funding ends
Coronavirus Relief Funding (CRF)
If clients are being served with CRF alone (not ESG-CV or other HUD sources), then clients may need to change projects on Dec 31st.

Annual ESG Ending
Let us know if a project should be closed or non-Federal Funding sources updated.

Don't know clients' funding source? Check in with your Agency Admin - HMIS data follows the $$$!
When funding begins
Winter Beds
If you are operating winter beds, do you have a project to enter data into? We also need your operating dates this year for inventory.

New Annual ESG
Contact the Data Center with new Activity Types, who on staff will enter data, and estimated start date for operations.

Please submit new user requests by Dec 11th to be ready on the 1st!
Veterans Information Data Standards Reminder
VA Funded projects require detailed information about their eligible clients' service record and enter that into the Veterans Information sub-assessment. Make sure it's complete!

Date Entered AND Date Separated from Military Service are required.
Both dates have always been required but the sub-assessment let you leave the date separated blank. It is now updated to reflect the Data Standards: you must enter both dates before saving.

Remember, Agency Admins are expected to attend/review the HMIS Users Meeting recording to stay up to date with HMIS tools and reporting.

We also want our monthly meetings to be as constructive for you as possible. What do you need for HMIS to be better utilized in your work?
