By the time this newsletter goes out, most of the "Go Team" missioners on the 2018 DR team will be on their way to a hotel near the Atlanta airport where they will overnight in preparation for the flight to Santo Domingo on Saturday, June 23. Watch the Christ Church Facebook page for important news about the trip, including the arrival in the Dominican Republic on Saturday afternoon and at the Episcopal conference center in El Pedregal in the early evening. Depending on internet access in El Pedregal, other news and photographs will be posted daily on Julius Ariail's Facebook page at this link. The direct link to his initial trip photograph album is here.
During our trip, we will have team worship services around 7:30 each morning and 8:00 p.m. each evening. If you would like to pray along with us, the prayer card we will be using is linked here. Each evening we will recite the text below, and we especially invite everyone on the "Home Team" to join us in these words:
May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you
Wherever he may send you;
May he guide you through the wilderness:
Protect you through the storm;
May he bring you home rejoicing: At the wonders he has shown you;
May he bring you home rejoicing;
Once again into our doors.

The Christ Church Valdosta Lunch Bunch feeds 120 or more hungry children every first and third Saturday of the month. Workers from the church as well as other members of the community who volunteer gather at 11 a.m. at Christ Church to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They pack them in plastic bags, then brown paper bags with logo stickers together with chips, fruit, juice and other healthy goodies purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank. Volunteers are welcome.

Coffee Hour Volunteers Needed
|
Sunday Morning after 10:00 Service
|
We are looking for volunteers to help with our Coffee Hour ministry held each Sunday after the 10:00 worship service. This ministry gives members and visitors a chance to fellowship with each other over coffee and snacks. If you are willing to help out on a rotating basis (approximately once every 2 months), please contact
Sallie Honeycutt, or
Robin Coleman. Thanking you in advance for your service to Christ Church.

Appreciation of your prayers
|
I thank each of you for your prayers. It is with God and the hands of my great doctors and staff that I am able to send this Thank You. I have been a believer but not "all in" as I am now. It is yet another of Gods miracles that I am able to send these Thanks.

Thank you for your love and support
|
Thank you to everyone for their concerns, thoughts, prayers, notes and meals during my resent hospital visit and rehabilitation. It is by God's hand that I am still here with you all today. Thank you for keeping an eye on Juanita during my absence. We are so very blessed to have a church family who looks out for each other. I am forever grateful for your love, prayers and kindness. Thank you again.
