J. Hunter Berry, MD, is a fellowship-trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon with Southern Bone and Joint Specialists, P.A. in Hattiesburg.  He completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed his residency at University of Mississippi Medical Center. While in Houston, he served as an assistant team physician for the Texans, Rockets and Astros. He assisted in player evaluation at the NFL Scouting Combine.
