When YOU CARE, YOU help FeedFrisco.
Food For Thought...
Thank you to everyone who helped make Frisco Family Services' summer Community-wide Food Drive a success! Because YOU CARE, more than 5,200 lbs of food pantry items were donated along with financial contributions, that will help ensure no one in our community will go hungry during these critical summer months.
Summer Lunch isn't over yet!
This year’s critical program began on June 3, and to celebrate a fun and hunger-free summer, will finish with a special Grand Finale event on August 2. Children and their families will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of games, social activities, a raffle, and go home with enough food and snacks to provide lunches for the next couple of weeks before school starts.
Shout out to our partners from Frito-Lay - PepsiCo and their volunteers who will be helping make our Grand Finale event possible!
Photos from this year's Grand Finale event are soon to come, but in the meantime...
to make our 25th year of commitment to our community the most memorable yet, check out the extra special activities that took place for Summer Lunch participants on July 25th!

AROO4U, a touch and learn petting zoo, came out for an educational and wildly entertaining afternoon! Present was a kangaroo, bearded dragon, bunny, tortoise, lemur, and a kinkajou.

Board Spotlight - Shane Arledge
We would like to take a moment to recognize a member of our very valuable Board of Directors, Shane Arledge. He is currently serving his second year on Frisco Family Services’ Board of Directors, and now holds the position of Board Treasurer. As an accomplished and results-driven leader with more than 20 years of proven success, Shane is Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at McKesson Corporation - a global healthcare services and medical supply company dedicated to delivering better care.

As a member of Frisco Family Services’ Board of Directors, Shane brings with him an excitement for “giving back to the community and being part of a very caring and personal organization that gives people an avenue to get back on their feet if a financial hiccup occurs in their life.” He says that “helping provide hope to people in a time of crisis,” is what he most wants to accomplish during his time on the Board.

Shane’s favorite hobbies include traveling and spending time with family. Just this past November, he was spotted partaking in one of them as he spent quality time volunteering at our Thanksgiving Distribution with his wife and their three kids. He may live an active life, but if he had more hours in the day, he would choose to enjoy more time sitting back with his nose in a book. And if ever to author his own, the title would be : Keep on, keeping on… you will get through this . The best advice he ever received was to “be patient and rely on God with all things.” Aside from reading, he must also enjoy listening to music, because his favorite quote comes from lyrics in a song by The Beatles: “And in the end, the Love you make is equal to the Love you take.”

We treasure each and every Board member, and are so grateful for their time and talents dedicated to ensuring the success of our clients and building a caring community.
