DECA students compete at state
These RPHS students competed at the DECA State Career Development Conference. Voters elect Bill Lowe and Aaron Howlett to Board
Oath of office to be administered on April 15

Voters on April 2 elected Bill Lowe and Aaron Howlett to serve three-year terms on the Ray-Pec School Board.      
They will take the oath of office during a special reorganization meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, April 15.

Unofficial election results from the Cass County Clerk's office show these vote totals:
  • Bill Lowe, 623 votes
  • Aaron Howlett, 567 votes
  • Joyce Noah, 564 votes
  • Susan Edmonsond, 555 votes
  • Write-in, 6 votes
Registration begins for Summer School 2019
Summer School scheduled to begin on June 5
Today's the day to begin to sign up for 2019 Summer School!

Elementary (K-5) information:
  • The program integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math topics.
  • Session 1: June 5 - 14 (includes Fridays)
  • Session 2: June 17 - 27 (no Fridays)
  • Attend one session for two weeks or two sessions for a total of four weeks.
  • Student hours - 8:30 a.m. to 3:50 a.m.
  • Sites: Bridle Ridge, Creekmoor, and Eagle Glen elementary schools 
Middle School (6-8) information:
  • The program integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math topics .
  • Session 1: June 5 - 14 (includes Fridays)
  • Session 2: June 17 - 27 (no Fridays)
  • Attend one session for two weeks or two sessions for a total of four weeks.
  • Student hours - 7:35 a.m. to 2:55 a.m.
  • Site: Ray-Pec South Middle School
High School (9-12) information:

 

  • June 5 to June 28
  • The majority of courses for credit will meet five days per week.
  • Enrichment courses will be four days per week (Monday - Thursday)
  • Options to take one or two courses for credit Monday through Friday.
  • Student hours: 7:25 to 10:55 a.m. for morning session and/or 11:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. for afternoon session.
  • Online courses will be available.
  • Site: Ray-Pec High School
  • Enroll online

 

If you missed Kindergarten Roundup  or PreK registration:

Kindergarten 
Children who live in the Raymore-Peculiar School District and who will turn age 5 before Aug. 1 may attend Kindergarten in the 2019-2020 school year. If you were unable to attend Kindergarten Roundup on March 27, please call your child's school to  schedule an appointment to complete the enrollment process and set up a screening time for your child.  If you are uncertain which school your child will attend, please call the Administrative Services Center at 816-892-1300.

PreK classes
Children who will be 4 years old before Aug. 1, 2019, may attend PreK sessions at Shull Early Learning Center. If  you were unable to attend PreK registration on April 2, please call 816-892-1210 to schedule an appointment to complete the enrollment process and set up a screening time for your child.  
Order tickets for Raymore Day at the K
Sixth graders to sing National Anthem at annual event

April 10 is the deadline to order tickets for Raymore Day at the K! The event is Friday, April 26, when the Royals host the Los Angeles Angels. Ray-Pec middle school students will perform the National Anthem. Tickets are $25 (Outfield Plaza) and $14 (View Reserved). A parking pass is $13. Order tickets at the Chamber office at 1000 West Foxwood Dr., Suite 200 (inside the Country Club Bank building), Raymore, or use this order form  and return it to the Chamber office or any elementary or middle school.


 
Other dates for your calendar:

  • Saturday, April 6: Prom, 8-11 p.m., Stoney Creek Hotel, Independence.
  • Friday, April 19: No School, holiday.
  • Monday, April 22: School in session for snow makeup day.
  • Friday, May 17: RPHS graduation, 7 p.m. at Community of Christ Auditorium.
  • Monday, May 27: No school, Memorial Day.
  • Friday, May 31: Early release. Last day of school.
