The Lucille Packard Foundation for Children's Health, published a helpful Q&A from February's co-sponsored Complexity Tiering webinar.  This webinar was  led by three of the authors of a new report,  Aligning Services with Needs: Characterizing the Pyramid of Complexity Tiering for Children with Chronic and Complex Conditions . 

The new question-and-answer resource features answers to participant questions from two of the report's authors. Examples of questions include, "Are there tiering tools that outpatient health systems could use for children with medical complexity?" and "How can clinicians tier their populations if they do not have access to administrative claims data?". Participants also asked questions regarding the financing of care coordination; we suggest the Catalyst Center's  Care Coordination Conundrum as a resource for those interested in further exploration of the topic. 

The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) studied how six states designed their managed care systems to serve CYSHCN and examined some of their best practices and strategies to meet the needs of these children in this report.
