Dear Friend of CCSD93,
Elsie Johnson, Cloverdale & Carol Stream Celebrate Literacy & Bear Down with Israel Idonije
On Wednesday Israel Idonije, children's author and former Chicago Bears defensive end, visited the Innovation Centers at Elsie Johnson, Cloverdale, and Carol Stream schools. Mr. Idonije read all three of his books, I Love Me, I Love Football and I Love Numbers, to students at each school.

His exuberance and enthusiasm for learning were infectious. His visit aligned with the first goal of our Strategic Plan: A Relevant Education for All Students, as students were motivated by the former NFL athlete to see the value of a positive self image and the importance of education!
Special thanks to Innovation Media Specialists Emily DiBiase, Shawn Bonk, and Gabriela Auld for working with Anderson's Bookshop to arrange the visit. Here are some photos!
