COMMUNITY NEEDS SURVEY
12/9/2020
Greetings!

World Cares Center’s mission is to reduce the pain and suffering disasters cause by training and supporting our local leaders who emerge to manage their constituents as a powerful volunteer force when disasters strike. Through our programs everyday citizens empower themselves to be Ready Responders to safely meet the needs of their own community and access additional support from network partners.

World Cares Center needs local community leaders, like you, to partner with us in identifying the gaps in services and training associated with disaster preparedness and response that may be affecting your community now or in the future.

In some cases, local leaders and local nonprofit groups face challenges in accessing training, resource (such as protective equipment), and connecting with existing programs and resources. In other cases, local leaders and local nonprofit groups are aware of individuals or groups of individuals that ate overlooked by the existing programs. World Cares Center’s programs and services address many of these challenges. Through our Disaster Volunteerism Academy, World Cares Center provides free disaster response safety training, which is available to everyone. To bridge the communication divide, World Cares Center hosts a virtual emergency operations center, Ready Responders Network. Lastly, so that we can all practice our skills together the annual Boots on the Ground Exercise enables all responders to make lasting bonds to help each other.

The information you share helps World Cares Center shape its programs to ensure we are meeting your needs. The information gathered is confidential and crucial to ensuring we can keep your community safe from harm and respond when other programs fail to meet your community's needs.
Sincerely,

Lisa Orloff
