The Glenn A. Jones Library has opened a mini-library in Milliken! This mini- library will be open from
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Thursdays. It will have books, magazines, children's books, audiobooks, videos--the whole gamut of library items--ready for patrons to check out. The mini-library is being run on a trial basis--if the number of people checking out books reflects a real interest in having this library service in Milliken, hopefully more hours of service and more programming can be added in the future. The Mini-Library is located in the Public Computer Center next door to Milliken Town Hall. The street address is 1109 Broad Street.
Call the library at 587-2459 if you have questions, but better yet, ask any questions in person at the mini-library.

Denver joins thousands worldwide to call on governments and health officials to take action for people living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. #MillionsMissing is a global day of protest to demand health equality for people with ME or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The Denver event will take place on May 12th, 2018 10:00am-11:30am on the west side of the State Capitol.
#MEAction Colorado is spearheading Denver's inaugural #MillionsMissing action: a rally which will include speakers, patient and caregiver testimony, music, educational resources, and a call to action directed at the NIH/Dr. Francis Collins. #MEAction is an international network of patients and allies fighting for health justice.
"This is about more than just a disease. This has become a social justice issue. There simply must be more research funding and appropriate medical education in order to stop this epidemic," --Jennifer Brea, co-founder of #MEAction, and director of the award-winning documentary, Unrest.
