Have you heard the news?
Dear ,
While the search of a new CEO was widespread, we are excited to have found someone in the local community who is an experienced leader and is familiar with United Way. Welcome Brett Speight, United Way Central Alberta's new CEO.
Professionally, Brett has a background in banking with a strong focus on business development and strategic planning. He has been very involved in the community and is currently the Board President for the Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery and a director with the Piper Creek Foundation. Previous to joining United Way of Central Alberta, Brett was the Relationship Manager with BMO Bank of Montreal in Red Deer.
Kindness. It makes our community better for everyone. Never underestimate the power of even the smallest act of kindness. It has the potential to change a life. And when multiplied by millions of people, small gestures of local love can transform the world.
On Wednesday, May 16, 2018 United Way
invites you to help spread a culture of kindness in our community.
On April 7th, United Way Central Alberta set up the 211 banner at the City of Red Deer's Let's Talk event at Parkland Mall. The banner reads "211 - Connecting you to the help you need," in English, Spanish, Ukrainian, Farsi, Arabic, and Russian.
The United Way Legacy Fund is a permanent endowment fund. Gifts designated to the fund are invested in perpetuity, and only the income is used to support United Way's operations and local community programming. The funds are professionally managed and strategically invested to deliver the greatest possible return.
